Ms. Morganti doesn't like to say no to her customers. When they
need an unusual item, she comes to their rescue. In 1996, a client
at Rocky Flats requested her assistance to locate recycled antifreeze.
Armed with the ambition to find the extraordinary; she took advantage
of the business opportunity to start her own business, Future Solutions,
Inc.
Her goal was to find all the recycled products the government was seeking
to purchase and identify the availability of new products. She
found a solution for Rocky Flats helping the agency meet its goals by
January 1, 2000. Ms. Morganti developed a program to assist the
DOE facility with its compliance. In 1998 the company received
its first subcontract from Rocky Flats. Ms. Morganti also designed
a DOE Policy and Procedure Manual needed to address agency compliance.
Today, the company offers its expertise to assist Federal agencies in
identifying recycled products, the benefits of buying recycled, the
compliance details, and other issues involving buy recycled mandates.
Future Solutions, Inc. is a value-added reseller of recycled/environmentally
friendly products and affirmative procurement solutions. Ms. Morganti's
vision is to be the first and last place a purchasing agent would contract
for recycled products or assistance.
Ms. Morganti is on the board of the Colorado Association for Recycling,
and is State Representative for America Recycles Day. Ms. Morganti
received the Denver Business Journal's "Forty under 40" award in 1998,
the American Businesswoman's Association's "1998 Business Associate
of the Year" award, and the Small Business Administration Region VIII
"Small Business Subcontractor of the Year 1998" award.
Ms. Morganti was nominated by Native American Systems, Inc.
